OrphanJust watched this movie last night (i know it was released in US since July 2009, but hey it just came out here) and i would say its worth watching…even though this movie is under horor movie category but i think its more of a thriller with a very great twist…

From the very beginning, the whole movie makes you think that Esther is realy a child traumatised with a dark past history…all the while I was trying to figure out what Esther’s history was.  My initial conclusion was that she was a child who was abused and raped by all her previous adopted family. She then have turned into a child killer and have even burned down the house of those families. That’s why she was so casual when she mentioned sex to her adopted mom, Kate.

But right at the very end the viewers find out that she’s realy a 33 year old  adult traped in a childs body. Esther has hypopituitarism, a disorder that stunted her physical growth, and has spent most of her life posing as a little girl. And since she is stuck as a 10 year old child, she’s just desperately in need of love from a man.

I really find this movie has a very cool twist at the end. Really worth watching. Click here for Wiki info on the movie.

I also find that the actress who acted as Esther, (Isabelle Fuhrman), is a great 12 year old actress. She can really bring out Esther’s character to life.  Very believable. And I like how they changed her look when her true self came out in the end. Very nice.

Here’s a trailer… but its better that you watch the movie..TWO THUMBS UP!!
